I had a great weekend trip along with my friends to Darjeeling this year. Darjeeling is a gorgeous hill station in West Bengal with scenic nature, man-made wonders and also pleasant climatic conditions all through the year. We were offered a nice budget holiday stay in Classic Guest House at Darjeeling. We booked rooms in advance as it was the peak season.

Darjeeling offers numerous adventures and sports as well but rare snow fall in the region has its own charm. Darjeeling is a popular honeymoon destination attracting thousands of couples year after year because of its captivating charm and wonderful hospitality.
The hill station boasts rich culture and history with the attracting scenery that include Natural History Museum, Tiger Hill, the Zoological Park, Bhutia Busty Gompa, Sandakphu, Peace Pagoda, Batasia Loop, Ghoom Monastery, Tibetan Refuge Centre, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, and the Lebong Race Track. The natural beauty, clean fresh air, cold weather of November, tea estates and the famous Darjeeling Tea gave us a great winter getaway there. A safari to the Zoological Park was great. The main adventure we had there was trekking. Trekking in Darjeeling offered us an excellent view of the Kanchenjunga and the Everest group of mountain peaks in Nepal, Sikkim and Bhutan.
The place offers a number of shopping stalls, and best cuisine for travelers making it a popular tourism destination. The best time to visit this beautiful destination is the winter season ie; from October to December. The nearest airport to Darjeeling is Bagdogra Airport about 96 kms from the city. The nearest railway station to Darjeeling is at New Jalpaiguri about 62 kms from the main town.
