I had a great weekend getaway with my friends. We visited Kasauli, a beautiful hill-station located in the Solan district of Himachal Pradesh. We had approximately 6 hours drive from Delhi. The cool climate, beautiful locales, and friendly people influenced me a lot. We had a great holiday spent over there as Kasauli is a fabulous city to visit. [caption id="attachment_934" align="alignnone" width="300"] Kasauli[/caption] The roads were narrow sliding up and down the hill station offering a very pleasant view. This small hill station has a moderate climate. You can also find out a colonial ambience of British era here. The magnificent Victorian mansions and hill resorts embedded in the beautiful greenery; colonial buildings with charming frontage, roughly assembled paths and paved streets are great to watch. The evergreen forests of pine, oak and horse chestnut trees, orchid gardens, snow clad hills and colonial charm, adds to the beauty of the hill station. You can better explore the beauty of Kasauli going by foot. There are also rental taxies, cars & tourists’ bus available for travel & sightseeing. The main tourist spot to visit in Kasauli is the Monkey Point - Hanuman Temple. The temple was on the top of the mountain and please be beware of monkeys as they can attack you for the prashad. The next place we visited was the sunset point. This was an ideal spot to see the sunset. The other tourist places we visited were Kasauli Christ Church, Shri Baba Balak Nath Temple and Kasauli Baptist Church.
