Air Pegasus has commenced commercial operations to & from Bengaluru to Hubli & Thiruvananthapuram with a daily flight on 12th of April 2015. This has been promoted by Decor Aviation. This is a leading ground handling agency and also part of Decor group of firms. The company’s headquarters is at Bengaluru. Air Pegasus is a completely regional airline.
Hubli also known as Chota-Mumbai is the largest city of North Karnataka and is also a commercial hub. Thiruvananthapuram also known as Trivandrum is the capital of Kerala, characterized by wavy terrain of low coastal hills and busy commercial paths. This low fare regional airline will be a better choice for those planning for a trip to Hampi, as Hubli is the nearest airport to Hampi.
The flight leaves Bengaluru for Thiruvananthapuram at 6 pm, and arrives at 7.45 pm. The return trip for Bengaluru will be at 8.30 pm. The airline is offering promotional offer of Rs 1,234 for a single trip during the first month of operations.
The company is mainly targeting travelers of luxury bus services connecting Bengaluru & Thiruvananthapuram by offering them competitive flying options. Air Pegasus is also planning to extend their services to Kochi, Chennai, Belgaum, Rajahmundry and Pondicherry.
With this initiative, Air Pegasus has become the second regional air operator after Air Costa. This will also help in promoting local business and boost tourism, opening up potentials in both business and leisure travel.
