The monsoons draw to an end in September and winter starts setting in from October. The temperature in winter months can go down to -1 C, so make sure you carry enough woolens to keep yourself warm, especially for the chilly nights.

December end to January
It is the time when you can enjoy snowfall and the spectacular scenic white views of the surrounding mountains, making it a favourite with the honeymooners. This is the ideal time for adventure enthusiasts who want to go skiing.

March to June
Summer steps in from March but the weather is still pleasant. The temperatures during these summer months usually vary between 10C to 25C, so you might still need light woolens during the night. This is the perfect time to indulge in outdoor activities such as paragliding, rafting, trekking and mountain adventures in the Solang Valley. This is also the time when the regions flora is in full bloom lending it the most pristine natural beauty.

July-August
Monsoons in Manali can be tricky as the region experiences heavy rainfall, which can also sometimes lead to landslides. But considering a lot of tourists dont prefer to travel during this time, the prices of hotels tend to drop.

*Hadimba Temple- Built in 1553 A.D. With a four tiered pagods shaped roof and front doorway, superbly crafted and caved with figures & symbols. The temple is dedicated to Hadimba Devi, wife of Bhima the pandva and is situated amidst the lush green and thick whispering forest of Dhungri, just 1.5 km. from the town.
*Tibetan Monasteries-There are two Tibetan monasteries at manali. One can have a closer look on Tibetan art and culture besides having a feet of Buddhism.
*Club HouseThe club house of Himachal tourism with its comprehensive facilities that includes a roller skating ring, an auditorium, a billiard room, a library, a bar and restaurant, make a wonderful place for outing and recreation.
*Vashisth Rishi Temple & Sulphur Hot Spring Across the Beas river about 3.2 km. away from town at an altitude of 1982 meters (6200 ft.) just above the famous Manali-Keylong- Leh highway is located the ancient Vashisth Rishi Temple In the premises of the temple is the sulphur hot water spring endowed with great heeling power. The pyramidal temple is dedicated to mythological Vashisth Rishi and another to lord Ram Chandra Ji.
