Gurgaon is a district of Haryana. The city is India’s leading IT hub and commercial centre. The city is now reformed to its new look with colourful malls, exciting cultural venues, interesting and informative museums and luxurious restaurants.
The first transport museum is situated in Gurgaon. The museum is a treasure house of vintage cars, buses, two wheelers, and trains. This is four-storey museum housing themed exhibition galleries, a library, a mini auditorium, a souvenir shop and a restaurant. The main attractions of the museum are a restored railway station from the 1930s, a vintage petrol pump, and sections on colourful truck art and the role of cars in Bollywood. There are also galleries on Indian transport toys, maritime and aviation history, contemporary & tribal art on the theme of transportation, etc.

Aliwardi Masjid: The Masjid is located about 2 kms north of the city. The mosque is about 200 years old. There is a tomb located near to the mosque, which is supposed to be of Nawab Aliwardi Khan, constructed with an artistic framework of red stone.
Ata: This was an important centre of art and architecture during the time of Gurjara-Prathiharas. This is a small village located about 5 kms to the east of Sohna. There are late medieval remains and early historic pottery excavated from this place.
Dhankot: The place is located 11 kms to the west of Gurgaon. It is believed that it was from this place that milk was supplied to Guru Dronacharya and his pupils at Gurugram (Gurgoan). According to Buddhist literature, the place is also known as Thullkottiha and Lord Buddha is said to have visited this place.
Farrukhnagar Fort: The fort is in Farrukh nagar town in Gurgaon District. Dilli Darwaza (Delhi Gate) is an important feature of the fort. Now the fort is in ruins which were once housed over 4,000 people.

If you are visiting Gurgaon on the month of April and May you can participate in Masani Fair conducted in Shri Sheetala Mata Mandir. You can see cultural functions such as Folk songs, dances, dramas, as common sights during the fair.
